While Rönkkö questions the quest for pleasure, friend Mimmi's world is turned upside down by her intense feelings for Emma, a focused skater with ideals. Three young women want to feel alive and make their dreams come true despite reality. Universal subjects addressed without clichés in a sensitive Finnish initiative film with superb acting and crammed with humour. An accurate portrayal of an emancipated (and here also privileged) generation that seems very at ease with its sexuality and pleasure and values consent.
The film was selected in the Generation +14 category at the Berlinale and won the audience award at Sundance.
