Condemned in1983 for planting a bomb in the capital and for conspiring to “influence and change American politics”, Laure Whitehorn passed 14 years in prison. Self declared lesbian, she was active in all the American civil movements from the Black Panthers to Feminism. She bears witness to her taking up of violent direct action and to the hundreds if political prisoners still imprisoned in the United States. Far from a classic documentary, Out is a passionate portrait of a surprising and motivated woman.
