Synopsis

Sara is 13 years old and, with her younger sister Catalina, lives in an accomplice universe with mother and her female partner. Her father does not approve of the situation. He would like his daughters to have a 'normal' family life and thus attempts to 'get them back'. But Sara has other worries, between her first love and her body, which is going through puberty... This film is fresh and full of allusions to daily life with gay parents ; the film also evokes the absurdities of legislation, the normative social pressure and the uncertainties of adolescence. Beautifully interpreted, Rara is a funny and moving film, a great film not to be missed.
