Having reached her 50's, Véronica, a high-school history teacher, leads a humdrum life with her children, her grandchildren and her apathetic husband. When she learns that she has terminal phase cancer, this routine life seems to be the only stability she can hold on to. The arrival in her class of a new and irreverent female student becomes a disruptive element. This young woman sparks a strange attraction which will literally turn the history class and the pathway of their lives upside down. Played by two magnificent actresses, with accuracy, realism and distance, this film manages to depict with much emotion an extraordinary friendship.
