Synopsis
Petr, a biology professor in Prague, leaves Prague suddenly to become a school teacher in a rural community. People are wondering why such an exile, as we see Petr living his new life, discreet and quiet. He soon becomes friends with a slightly older woman, Marie, a farmer living alone with her teenage kid. But Petr is secretly in love with Marie's son. The Country Teacher is an impressive work exploring the characters' paths, full of retained violence and desire, as well as magnificent sceneries that all contribute to maintain the spectator in vivid emotion.
