Trouble #7 : Métamorphoses De la transformation de soi De l’art et du politique 27.04 > 01.05 - Halles de Schaerbeek This year, the Pink Screens Film Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary. Each edition presents the occasion to propose new, surprising and disturbing movies and works paying tribute to the diversity of genders and sexualities. In the framework of Trouble, the Pink Screens present a collection of short-films revolving around metamorphosis, transformations of one self, new and multiple identities. Film program : {{Gender Trouble}} by Tom de Pekin (FR – 2005 – 4’) - A black and white fantasy, disturbing and energetic. {{ Figs in Motion}} by Trevor Anderson (CA – 2010 - 8’) - Two men turn into ballerinas, with horse’s heads and tutus, to perform a bestial impromptu ballet. {{Polet}} by Kevin Calero (CA - 2008 -4’) - The masculine and the feminine are unified in one body in this bewildering video starring dancer Gilles. {{L’Habit ne fait pas le moine}} by Owen Eric Wood (CA – 2008 - 4’) - Our perception is highly influenced by the way we dress: education, status, sexual orientation… {{Phagocyte}} by Laurie Colson (BE – 2009 – 12’) - Two female bodies depending on each other undertake a painful mutation leading to one sole entity. A shivering and beautiful nightmare. {{Belly dancer}} by Pascal Lièvre (FR – 2009 -3’) - Belly-dancing as a political weapon or how religious constraints can not prevent the body to express itself in a sensual and amusing way. {{Consecuente/consecuencias}} by Juanma Carrillo (ES – 2009 – 3’) - A moving video creation about the game of love and its consequences. {{Lipstique}} by Kia Simon (US -2009 - 5’) - Part drag queen makeup tutorial and part drag performance by Fauxnique and Peaches Christ. Fierce ! {{Sarah 83}} by Vibeke Heide (NO - 2008 – 26’) - On the internet, Kenneth becomes Sarah83, an MTF transgendered, who shares her daily life onYouTube. Also on the web is Kine, a young girl who doesn’t know where she belongs.
