After the sudden death of her father, queer student Azra is forced to move from Canada to her childhood home in Pakistan. There, she is confronted by her conservative mother Mariam, who has a different view of her daughter's future. By way of flashbacks, we gradually discover through dance, music and fantasy that Azra and her mother have much more in common than they thought.
The feature debut that interweaves different generations and shows the age-old struggle between conventions and personal ambitions.
