Lucas, 17 years old, is a boarder in a college in Chambéry. He is a happy teenager who lives his homosexuality without any problem and regularly shares his nights with his lover. Then, a sudden tragedy rips Lucas from everything he took for granted, leaving him filled with anger and despair, with no horizon. His brother (Vincent Lacoste) and mother (Juliette Binoche), lost in their own pain, do not know what to do to help the young man Lucas is becoming. He goes to Paris where his brother lives for a few days, waiting to find comfort.
In this film of rare intensity, undoubtedly his most autobiographical, Christophe Honoré (Dans Paris - Les Chansons d'amour - Plaire, aimer et courir vite ) returns to his favourite themes, namely family, grief and sexuality.
