Synopsis
Clara, a solitary nurse from the suburbs of São Paulo, is hired by Anna, a young upper class woman, unmarried and pregnant, to help her out while she waits for the birth of her child. As the two women get closer, the future mother starts to suffer from bouts of sleepwalking which reveal a particular addiction… Behind the title in the style of the Countess of Ségur, hides a mutant, intimate and fantastic film, revealing the world which surrounds us, with its injustices and inequalities. An enchanting, cruel and moving tale, visually achieved, awarded the special jury prize at the festival of Locarno 2017.
